At Enic International Academy, we aim to provide a nurturing environment where students can grow academically, socially, and morally. Our admission process ensures that prospective students and their families are aligned with the values and expectations of our academy. Below are the detailed admission guidelines for Enic International Academy.
1.1 Age Requirements
Pre-Nursery: Applicants must be at least 2 years old.
Nursery: Applicants must be between 3-5 years old.
Primary (Grade 1-6): Applicants must be between 6-11 years old.
Secondary (Grade 7-12): Applicants must be between 12-17 years old.
1.2 Academic Readiness
Applicants will be assessed based on their previous academic records and must pass an entrance examination appropriate for their age group and class level.
1.3 Character and Behavior
Enic International Academy places high importance on the character of our students. Applicants and their families must demonstrate an alignment with our values of respect, discipline, and academic commitment.
Letters of recommendation from previous schools or other credible sources may be required to evaluate the student’s character and behavior.
2.1 Submission of Application
Application Form: Parents or guardians must fill out an official admission form, which is available at the school’s admissions office or on the school website.
Required Documents: Along with the completed application form, the following documents must be submitted:
a. Birth Certificate (original and copy)
b. Two recent passport-sized photographs of the applicant
c. Applicant’s most recent academic report card or transcripts (for students transferring from another school)
Immunization record
d. National ID or passport (for international students)
e. Transfer certificate (for students transferring from another school)
2.2 Payment of Application Fee
A non-refundable application fee must be paid during the submission of the application form. This fee covers the administrative costs of processing the application and entrance examination.
3.1 Purpose of the Examination
The entrance examination is designed to assess the academic level of the applicant and ensure they are adequately prepared for the curriculum of Enic International Academy.
3.2 Exam Content
Pre-Nursery & Nursery: Basic skills assessment (literacy, numeracy, and motor skills).
Primary (Grade 1-6): The exam will cover English, Mathematics, and General Knowledge.
Secondary (Grade 7-12): The exam will cover English, Mathematics, Science, and Social Studies.
3.3 Exam Schedule
The entrance exam is conducted at designated times throughout the academic year. Dates for the examination will be communicated after the application form has been submitted.
3.4 Special Considerations
Students with learning disabilities or special educational needs are encouraged to inform the school prior to the exam to provide necessary accommodations.
4.1 Notification of Results
a. Admission decisions will be based on the entrance exam results, previous academic performance, and an evaluation of the applicant’s overall readiness for Enic International Academy.
b. Parents/guardians will receive a notification of the admission decision within two weeks of the entrance exam.
4.2 Acceptance and Enrollment
a. Upon acceptance, parents or guardians must complete the enrollment process by:
i. Signing the admission acceptance form
ii. Paying the enrollment and tuition fees as outlined in the school’s fee structure
iii. Attending a mandatory orientation session with the school administration
5.1 Placement Based on Academic Ability
a. Students are placed into appropriate class levels based on their performance in the entrance exam and review of academic records.
b. Additional support or accelerated programs may be offered to students who require it.
5.2 Class Size
Enic International Academy strives to maintain a low student-teacher ratio to ensure individualized attention. However, placement in a specific class is based on availability, and waiting lists may apply for certain grades.
6.1 Admission for Transfer Students
a. Students wishing to transfer to Enic International Academy from another school must submit academic records and a letter of recommendation from their current school.
b. Transfer students will still be required to sit for the entrance exam.
6.2 Mid-Year Transfers
Mid-year transfers may be considered on a case-by-case basis depending on space availability and the student’s academic progress at their previous school.
8.1 Inclusive Education
Enic International Academy is committed to providing inclusive education and welcomes students with special educational needs (SEN).
Parents are required to disclose any learning disabilities or special needs during the application process, so that the school can assess the best methods to support the child.
8.2 Individualized Education Plans (IEP)
Students with SEN may have an Individualized Education Plan (IEP) developed to meet their learning needs. This will involve collaboration between the school, the parents, and any external professionals working with the student.
8.1 Voluntary Withdrawal
a. Parents wishing to withdraw their child from the school must submit a written notice of withdrawal at least one month prior to the date of departure.
b. Fees already paid for the term are non-refundable except in exceptional cases which will be evaluated on a case-by-case basis.
8.2 Dismissal
a. The school reserves the right to dismiss a student if they fail to adhere to the school’s code of conduct, academic standards, or other policies.
b. Dismissal will follow a formal review process involving the student, parents, and school administration.
10.1 Scholarship Programs
a. Enic International Academy offers scholarships to outstanding students who demonstrate academic excellence, leadership potential, or exceptional talent in extracurricular activities.
b. Scholarships are awarded on a competitive basis and are reviewed annually.
10.2 Financial Aid
Limited financial aid is available for families in need. Parents seeking financial assistance must submit relevant documentation proving their financial situation.
